Sakura Holloway, a venture capital investor at Future Planet Capital, draws on her earlier career as a patent attorney and commercial IP specialist to help early-stage and university spinout founders turn strong science into real commercial traction, leading Future Planet's Knowledge Assets portfolio and helping create the Deal Readiness Toolkit used to standardize how spinouts prepare for funding. She also looks beyond Oxford, Cambridge, and London for promising companies, played a key role in taking Benitec public on NASDAQ, and stays involved with founders even when she passes on a deal, often connecting them to others in her network who might help.
