Stephen Rapecki is a Venture Partner at Medicxi who discovered the anti-IL-17A/F antibody bimekizumab (Bimzelx), a major biologic now approved for immune-mediated diseases, making him one of the few venture investors who can point to originating a blockbuster-class therapeutic from discovery through to a marketed product. Unlike most venture investors who come from banking or consulting backgrounds, he spent three decades at Celltech/UCB with hands-on drug discovery experience and continues to co-author peer-reviewed immunology research while actively co-founding seed-stage companies and advising portfolio companies.
