IGNIA was founded in 2007 as Mexico's first venture capital fund with an impact thesis, and it has kept the same core leadership team working together for over 14 years while focusing on the emerging middle class. It has grown into a pan-American fund based in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Boston that connects Latin American startups expanding abroad with international startups entering the region, with 75% of its second fund's portfolio made up of companies expanding into Latin America from elsewhere.
