Bret Leas built his career in an unusual order—starting in law at Weil, moving into structured credit at Barclays, and now leading asset-backed finance at Apollo—and he sees ABF as the financing behind everyday things like cars, trains, digital payments, and music royalties, with Europe and global housing finance among the biggest opportunities ahead, including helping companies finance fleets, inventory, and equipment off their balance sheets. Outside of finance, he owns B1T Ranch in Wyoming, sits on the Wyoming Stock Growers Land Trust board, previously chaired the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro and Western New York, and jokes that he'd be a cowboy if he weren't in this line of work.
