Dennis Kavelman spent years as an operator before becoming an investor, joining BlackBerry as a startup in 1995 and helping it grow to more than 14,000 employees as CFO and COO while overseeing its IPO and over $1.8B in equity raises. Today at Inovia Capital he leads value creation efforts and sits on boards like Vidyard, North/Thalmic, and Float, backing later-stage Canadian companies with the kind of hands-on scaling experience that comes from actually having built one himself.
