Before joining Inovia, Magaly Charbonneau worked as an operator—serving as COO at PasswordBox and VP of Worldwide Sales at Hostopia, where she helped grow the company from 10 to 400 employees—and she got involved with Inovia first as a backer and investment committee member before joining full-time, a path that shaped her focus on helping founders scale and stay in Canada. She also grew up in a family printing-press business, where she ran the Toronto office across finance and business development, played on Quebec's provincial volleyball team before being recruited by York University, and today sits on boards like AlayaCare, Busbud, and TrackTik, known in Montreal as someone founders turn to directly for practical scaling advice.
