Before becoming a venture investor, Henrik Wetter Sanchez spent years angel investing on his own, building a personal portfolio of more than 40 startups including Monzo and Revolut, and he came to venture through an unusual mix of a Cambridge languages degree, private equity work in Paris, and M&A work at Bank of America. At Playfair Capital, he keeps his investment pace deliberately low, making only a handful of new investments each year so he can work closely with founders, from staying hands-on during Recycleye’s seed round to helping start and run Female Founder Office Hours, which has connected more than 700 founders with mentors and investors.
