Louise Heiberg is a trained food scientist who ended up in venture capital and now focuses heavily on biosolutions—enzymes, microbes, and fermentation—while also backing her most successful investment, Ironic Biotech, which addresses iron deficiency in women, and defining foodtech broadly enough to include satellite data for crop health. She looks for founders with the courage to admit what they don't know, and she's open about still getting excited by something as hands-on as a good extrusion process, which shows how much she enjoys the technical side of food production itself.
